A Note About Characterization
Aug. 24th, 2016 08:48 amAlthough I'm dusting off the cobwebs on this character after a looooong hiatus with him, I still started playing him just barely post-Condos, before Dylan had voiced him on the actual show and my characterization with him has always veered more towards Cecil's early descriptions of him, rather than the later characterizations.
Because of this, he's a bit more Actually a Scientist and a little differently awkward than he ended up being on the show. I've tried to incorporate some later aspects of his character retroactively into my playstyle but, honestly, I really preferred the older characterization of him as the kind of "normal" person in a world gone mad, rather than just being a different kind of madness from Night Vale.
I get that that's counter to current canon and completely understand if that affects someone's desire to play with him, but since I have no intentions to take him into a game, I'd rather have fun playing a character I really enjoyed playing, even if he's now rendered a bit obsolete.
